The book is written and edited by esteemed scholars and educators, including Dr. Narayan Chandra Biswas, Dr. Taposh Kumar Biswas, Dr. Mayna Talukdar, Subarna Sarker, Biplob Mallick, Dr. Shishir Mallik, Parimal Kumar Mondal, and Dr. Probir Chandra Roy. It has been translated by Surajit Roy Majumder and Rita Sarker.
The textbook features a competency-based curriculum that connects the learning materials to real-life phenomena and events. It covers a range of topics, including Nityakarma (Regular duty), Shaucha (Purity), Upasana (Worship), Gods and Goddesses, Pufa-Festivals, Temples and Pilgrimage Sites, Yoga, Human Qualities (Morality, Humanity, Empathy, Sense of Responsibility), Ideal Biography, and Social Harmony.
The book emphasizes the importance of adapting to a fast-changing world and preparing students for future challenges and opportunities. It also addresses contemporary issues such as climate change, air pollution, and ethnic violence.
